Batista Estate welcomes you to the Southern Forest region during the Manjimup Truffle and Wine Festival and invites you to visit at 249 Franklin Road, Smith Brook, to enjoy two fine examples of pinot noir: Batista Noir and Angelina.
From its beginnings in 1996, Batista Estate has consistently produced wines of excellence, gaining scores of 95/100 and 96/100 from Ray Jordan in the WA Wine Guide. The 1998-99 Good Australian Wine Guide gave a five-star rating and said: “The acme of style, a fabulous, faultless wine that Australian should be proud of.”
In the 2000 edition of the Australian and New Zealand Wine Company by James Halliday, Randall Pollard said: “I really cannot think of a better West Australian pinot, and it has to be one of the best value pinots in the world”. In Talking Wine with Peter Forrestal: “Tiny Manjimup vineyard produces powerhouse pinot”.
